Government announces grant for micro and small businesses

Government has announced an emergency grant for the Micro and Small Business Sector.

The grant was officially launched on Wednesday morning by the Minister for Commerce, Enterprise and Small Business Development Roselyn Paul.

1,500 businesses are set to benefit from the funds which are being made available by the World Bank.

 

Meantime Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce Esther Thomas says the funds will be disbursed to the businesses in four specific sectors.
