A call for laws against disinformation sounded

A fresh call for laws against disinformation  in Dominica.

Chief Development planner Dr Gerald Jean Jacques told the consultation of electoral reform last night he is concerned about disinformation on radio talk shows in the country.

He holds a PHD in political science.

Meantime , former President of the UWP Isaac Baptiste has raised concerns over a new round of consultation on electoral reform.

Mr. Baptiste says electoral reform has been discussed over several years without results.

Meantime ,  Dr Darius Lecointe says the absence of a Parliamentary Commissioner in Dominica badly undermines the Constitution of Dominica.

Meantime , engineer Jason Timothy says electoral reform should not infringe on the right to vote.

The consultation on electoral reform continues this evening with members of the diaspora being engaged via zoom.
