Officials at the Office of Disaster Management (ODM) are awaiting official word from the seismic research centre in Trinidad and Tobago as an active investigation is underway following reports of earth movements and rumbling sounds in the Gallion community.
The ODM stated that it is aware of the situation and urges residents to remain calm.
The public is also advised to avoid spreading unverified information as the Office of Disaster Management continues to monitor the situation.
The Office of Disaster Management assures the public that it is on top of the situation and will provide any significant developments as soon as they are verified.
