West Indies player, Afy Fletcher hit the first century in the Windward Islands Women’s T20 Tournament as she powered Grenada to a crushing win over Dominica as that tournament got underway Sunday in St Vincent.
Grenada took first knock and hit 183-4 in their 20 overs.
Afy Fletcher hit 116 not out with 14 fours and 6 sixes.
Aldith Gasper picked up 2-32 in 4 overs and Jinnie Valmond 1-14 in 4 overs for Dominica.
Dominica needing 184 were bundled out for just 68 runs in reply. Gem Eloi top scored with 21, Earnisha Fontaine got 11, Aria Fortune took 3-5 in 2 overs for the Spice Ladies.
Grenada won by 114 runs.
Dominica’s coach Sam Kernon says the girls didn’t show up on Sunday.
Elsewhere, St Vincent picked up a 6 wicket win over St Lucia. St Lucia got 117-9 batting first.
Ashlene Edward got 36, Tracy Byron 3-19. St Vincent replied with 118-4 in 18.4 overs.
Jannillea Glasgow top scored with 60.
Zaida James got 1-15 for St Lucia.
