The agents for L’Express des Iles have spoken out against the new port facility charge which was implemented by the Dominica Air and Sea Port Authority (DASPA).

Marketing Manager at HHV Whitchurch Michelle Joseph says the new charge is getting mixed reviews from the travelling public.

In March, Chief Executive Officer of DASPA Benoit Bardouille, announced that effective April 2, 2019 there would be a US$10 charge for persons entering Dominica via the various sea ports of entry.

The charge is being enforced as part of the ticket price.

Joseph says they have had to explain to passengers that the new charges cannot be avoided.
