Ali Shillingford continued to his dominance in the ring as he powered his way to a victory over USVI fighter Lovante Ravaliere in the Dominica boxing association’s fund raising bout on the weekend at the massacre indoor facility.
The bouts were held to raise funds to meet the medical expenses of 14 year old Taheer Tyson who is battling cancer.
Shillingford won the main event of the evening as he beat Ravaliere on a judges decision. He says he was happy with the way he executed things.

In the other bouts Saturday, Zai Salaj Kregen of the USVI defeated Dominica’s Jalen Romel Daniel while Dominica’s Shelton Bonnie beat Jiovanie Hodge of the USVI.
Bonnie said he was happy with his performance.

Dominica’s Ali Shillingford was named the MVP of the tournament, however, the real MVP on the night however was young Taheer Tyson. Tyson just a few months ago was boxing, today he is confined to a wheelchair due to complications from Cancer.
He was in attendance on Saturday night and said he was overwhelmed with the support from the public.
