A small plane which crashed about six miles west of Douglas Charles Airport has been identified.

The plane was travelling from Martinique to Guadeloupe on Thursday morning, when it encountered difficulties.

The pilot is the only one believed to have been on the plane.

CEO of the Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority Benoit Bardouille spoke to DBS News on the matter.

Bardouille says travel in and out of Dominica will continue.
