Ban on Styrofoam and single use plastic creates an opportunity to lobby for change in the Tourism industry

Executive Vice President of the Dominica Hotel and Tourism Association Kevin Francis believes the recently imposed ban on Styrofoam and single use plastic creates an opportunity to lobby for change in the Tourism industry.

The ban on common plastics and single-use Styrofoam cups and food containers took effect here in January.

Francis addressed the matter on DBS’ Talking Point this morning.

Francis says the DHTA will be engaging the public sector to form a strategy to best approach the ban.
