Bath Estate have booked their place in the finals of the DFA Division One President’s Cup with a convincing 3–0 victory over new rivals Do It Center Mighty Avengers in semifinal action at the DFA Technical Centre on Wednesday night.
Goals from Montell James, Eustace Phillip and Eustace Marshall sealed a comfortable win for Bath Estate, who controlled proceedings from start to finish and ended the Mighty Avengers’ run in the competition.
Bath Estate head coach Michael Joseph said the result was especially satisfying given the growing rivalry between the two teams, noting it was good to finally silence the Mighty Avengers with a strong on-field performance.
Meanwhile, Do It Center Mighty Avengers head coach Kerym Registe admitted his side did not perform at their best, describing the team as “a bit flat” on the night and unable to match Bath Estate’s intensity.
Bath Estate will now turn their attention to the final as they look to cap off their President’s Cup campaign with silverware.
