CBSS Retain Under-15 Football Crown in Dramatic Penalty Shootout

Both coaches had predicted a closely contested encounter, and the match more than lived up to expectations. In the end, Castle Bruce Secondary School (CBSS) successfully retained their Sports Division Secondary Schools Under-15 Football title, edging Portsmouth Secondary School (PSS) in a thrilling final at Benjamin Park on Wednesday.

After a tense and disciplined display from both sides, the match remained scoreless after regulation time, with neither team able to break the deadlock through two periods of extra time.

The championship was ultimately decided from the penalty spot, where Castle Bruce Secondary boys held their nerve to win 5–4, sealing back-to-back titles in dramatic fashion.

CBSS head coach Delroy Watt praised his players for their composure and determination under pressure.

Meanwhile, Portsmouth Secondary School Head Coach, Oris Mills admitted it was a difficult result to accept, as his team finished runners-up for the second consecutive year, despite a strong and resilient performance in the final.
