The Dominica Table Tennis Association has received a donation of equipment from the Chinese Embassy in Dominica, in a move expected to support the continued development of the sport locally.
The presentation was made on Thursday afternoon at the Chinese Embassy in Morne Daniel, with the Association President Edgar Berridge expressing appreciation to the Chinese Ambassador to Dominica, His Excellency Chu Maoming, for the contribution.
Berridge said the donation would go a long way towards advancing table tennis in Dominica, particularly by providing the association with additional resources to support the sport’s development.
Ambassador Chu Maoming said he was pleased that the embassy was able to assist the Dominica Table Tennis Association through the donation.
He expressed hope that the equipment would contribute to the growth of table tennis in Dominica and support the association’s efforts to organise tournaments and other activities.
The donation represents a boost to the association’s efforts to develop the sport and provide greater opportunities for table tennis in Dominica.
