Coastal vulnerability data collection project officially launched

A project aimed at collecting data as it relates to the vulnerability of coastal areas across Dominica has been officially launched this morning.

The costal hazard vulnerability project will be implemented in eight coastal communities in Dominica.

Project Manager and GIS Specialist Gabrielle Abraham says public involvement is vital for the execution of the project.

Abraham says this project will also present data to the government to assist in decision making for infrastructure development.

The project is being undertaken by Smith Warner international.
