President Of the Dominica Council on Ageing Nigel Lawarence is concerned about the lack of data collection as it relates to elder abuse in Dominica.
Lawrence says every month there are reports of elder abuse however the real representation of abuse is not being documented.
He says the low numbers in field officers is also a matter of concern.
Meantime Lawerence calls for more respect to be given to senior citizens in Dominica.
This month is being observed as month of the elderly under the theme “we are older not over.”
