The union representing teachers in Dominica has called on its members to get vaccinated against COVID.
Public Relations Officer of the Dominica Association of Teachers Juanita Carbon also advised that each teacher get tested to know their covid-19 status.
“Let’s us protect ourselves our colleagues or students as we strive to return to face-to-face instruction.”
Carbon added, our schools and learning institutions should be seen as a safe place for all.
She encouraged teachers to adhere strictly to the covid-19 protocols and guidelines issued by the ministry of health.
Teachers let us do this for Dominica.
Carbon also urged teachers to participate fully in training programs ahead of the new academic year which begins from September 1st to the 10th 2021.
The Dominica Association of Teachers will also continue its dialogue with the Ministry of Education.
Teachers are asked to complete an online survey that has been launched by DAT requesting information from teachers on blended learning.
