DCOA Concerned with Growing Number Of Missing Elderly

The Dominica Council on Ageing has expressed concern with the increasing number of missing elderly people and its President, Zetma Toussaint has issued a call for society to play a greater role in caring for the elderly.

Just last weekend the body of an elderly man from Vieille Case was fished out of the Roseau River, while another woman from Tarreau has been reported missing.

Toussaint says the Council on Ageing will be addressing the matter when it meets with its affiliates.

Toussaint says it will take more than just the immediate family members to combat this growing concern.
