DFA Launches National Youth Academy to Boost Football Development

The Dominica Football Association (DFA) is set to advance football development on the island with the official launch of its National Youth Academy this afternoon.

The academy is expected to enroll more than 80 young footballers in its inaugural 2026 intake, providing structured training and long-term development opportunities for emerging talent.

FIFA Talent Coach Kurt Herd has described the establishment of the National Youth Academy as a major step forward for football in Dominica.

The official opening will get underway at 4pm this afternoon at the DFA technical center.
