DFA Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthening Club Administration

Football clubs on the island are now better equipped to handle the FIFA Connect program following their participation in a one day training course

President of the Dominica Football Association (DFA), Glen Ettiene, says the association remains committed to improving the administrative capacity of football clubs across the island.

Ettiene made the comments following the successful completion of a FIFA Connect capacity-building workshop held over the weekend at the Prevost Cinemall.

The FIFA Connect Programme allows Member Associations to register all football-related stakeholders and manage them through a single, cohesive digital platform. The system is expected to streamline operations and eventually replace the current platform used to process football transfers.

All clubs affiliated with the DFA participated in the workshop, which was facilitated by FIFA Connect facilitators Carolina Villegas and Maria Alvarez.

According to DFA President Glen Ettiene, the initiative represents an important step toward modernising football administration in Dominica.

In addition to training, participating clubs received laptops, a projector, and other equipment to support the implementation of the FIFA Connect system.
