Dominica Celebrates History Week 2016

History Week Coordinator, Gregory Rabess is hoping that this week’s activities will raise awareness on the creation of communities in Dominica.

This year, history week will be observed under the theme: ” Building Communities: 1838-1938″ and is scheduled to take place from today till Friday, October 7.

According to Rabess, the theme aims to highlight the events leading up to the establishment of communities in Dominica.

One of the highlights of this week’s activities will be a feature lecture by Kalinago Historian and Development Officer in the Ministry of Kalinago Affairs, Cozier Frederick.
