A date is being considered to officially stop free COVID-19 testing in Dominica.
According to Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, certain decisions have to be taken in the best interest of the country and keeping the nation safe.
Speaking on Kairi FM’s Heng this morning, Mr. Skerrit also remarked on mandatory vaccination.
The country’s leader said at some point Dominicans will have to pay for covid-19 tests.
He lamented on the issue of unvaccinated employees getting tested for free under preferential treatment.
Mr. Skerrit said this will be further looked at.
He added, while the government is not in support of mandatory vaccination, this could change in the future.
He urged the Dominican public to not get comfortable with this.
