Dominica could have its first female and indigenous president come October 2023.
This as Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has announced Sylvanie Burton as government’s presidential nominee.
His Excellency Charles Savarin’s second term in office comes to an end in October 2023.
Mr. Skerrit says he is awaiting word from Opposition leader Jesma Paul Victor on whether it will be a joint nomination, but a date has been set to go to Parliament.
