Dominica Hold Sint Maarten to 0-0 Draw After Strong Showing in CONCACAF Series

Interim Head Coach of Dominica’s Senior Men’s National Football Team, Kurt Herd, says the national side has nothing to be ashamed of following a determined performance against Dutch Sint Maarten in the CONCACAF Series on Monday night in the Dominican Republic.

Dominica played to a 0-0 draw with Sint Maarten, delivering a much-improved display compared to their previous meeting in 2025, when they were defeated in the first leg played in St Kitts.

The Nature Boys controlled large periods of the contest and created several clear scoring opportunities but were unable to convert their chances, leaving the scoreline unchanged at the final whistle.

Despite the result, Herd praised the team’s effort, noting that Dominica produced a dominant performance against a Sint Maarten squad featuring several Europe-based players.

The draw brings Dominica’s CONCACAF Series campaign to a close with a record of three defeats and one draw across the two-leg fixtures.

The national team is expected to return to the island on Thursday.

In the other result from Monday night’s action, Guyana secured a 3-1 victory over Belize.
