Dominica is looking to partner with other countries in the OECS to take full advantage of the market for Dasheen in the united states.
Project and Services Technical Officer in the ministry of Agriculture Ryan Anselm says the ministry of agriculture is working closely with dexia and the ministry of trade to get Dominican produced Dasheen on the US Market.
He says farmers are being encouraged to take advantage of the new opportunities.
He says the possibility for markets for other crops will also be looked at.
