Dominica signs MOU to continue trade partnership with the United Kingdom following Brexit

Minister for Trade, Energy and Employment Ian Douglas says the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) by Dominica, to continue trade with the United Kingdom following Brexit, is necessary.

Dominica was among nine Caribbean countries which signed the MOU with the United Kingdom.

The MOU was signed during the twenty-fifth meeting of the CARIFORUM Council of Ministers in Castries, St Lucia in March.

Douglas says the MOU was necessary to preserve the trading relationship which Dominica has enjoyed with the UK.
