The Dominica Stars narrowly missed out on the championship title after three competitive nights at the ESP Domino Tournament in Antigua.
The team started the event on a high, claiming victories in both the men’s and mixed categories on the opening night, while the women secured a solid third-place finish. Their strong form continued into night two, where Dominica swept all categories and moved into the final night as tournament leaders.
However, Barbados mounted a dramatic comeback. In a decisive final-night performance, they dominated all three categories, overtaking Dominica to secure the championship. The Dominica Stars finished in second place overall, with hosts Antigua Eagles rounding out the top three.
Top performers for Dominica included Nelissa Paul, Millia Joseph Denis, and standout player Oliver Yankee, who earned the tournament’s Most Valuable Player award.
Final scores: Barbados 2,027; Dominica 2,008; Antigua 1,935.
