Dominica to Finalize Agreement with United States to Accept Third-Country Refugees

Dominica is expected to finalize an agreement with the United States this week to accept third-country refugees as part of a migration management initiative.

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says the arrangement is intended to assist in managing migrants currently in United States custody, with Dominica agreeing to receive a limited number of individuals under the programme.

According to the Prime Minister, the country will accept seven refugees per quarter once the agreement is finalized.
