National Under-19 captain, Earsinho Fontaine did it with bat and ball as Dominica made it two wins in a row as they pounded St Vincent and the Grenadines in action from the Winlott windward islands under 19 tournament on Sunday at the Geneva playing field.
The match was reduced to 30 overs a side due to rain.
Dominica batted first and made 170-8 in their 30 overs. Earsinho Fontaine top scored with 42, Derwin Lewis added 33, and Aiden Burton got 30. Eron Glasgow bagged 2-40 for St Vincent and Lebron douglas 2-37.
St Vincent in reply were bundled out for 107. Aiden Burton picked up 3-22, Earsinho Fontaine 3-25 and Vince darroux 2-2.
Dominica won by 63 runs to pick up their 2nd win in the tournament.
Meantime in the other match Grenada beat St Lucia at the Benjamin’s park. Their match was reduced to 35 overs.
Grenada U19 scored 123 all out (Kemile Abraham 24, Jayonn Henry 16; Bjorn Fanis 3-23, Theo Edwards 2-20). St Lucia U19 fell 20 runs short (Tyler Venner 16, Theo Edwards 15; Shamel Hilliare 6-26, Aaron Edwards 2-13)
Today is a rest day, the competition will continue on Tuesday, April 14.
