Alex Armstrong delivered a man-of-the-match performance as Dominica Under-15 recorded their third consecutive win in the Windward Islands Winlott Under-15 Cricket Competition.
Dominica faced Grenada on Thursday and, after winning the toss, opted to field first.
The decision paid off as they bowled out the home team for 72 in 33.3 overs. Dylon Joseph produced an impressive spell, taking 3 wickets for just 4 runs, while Armstrong claimed 3 for 12.
In reply, Dominica comfortably reached their target in 13.1 overs, finishing on 73 for 2. Armstrong led the scoring with an unbeaten 37 from 40 balls, supported by captain Jershaun Joseph who hit a run-a-ball 16.
Speaking to DBS Sports after the match, Armstrong expressed satisfaction with his performance and the team’s continued success.
Captain Jershaun Joseph said the victory means a lot for the squad as they push to maintain their winning form.
Head coach Ray Casimir also praised the team’s effort, noting that he is pleased with the consistency and discipline shown throughout the tournament so far.
For Grenada, Jayden Bristol was the standout bowler, taking 2 for 19 from his 5 overs.
Friday, December 12th is a designated rest day. Matches resume on Saturday, December 13th with Dominica set to face St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
