Dominica welcomes first major ship to Roseau since Hurricane Maria

Dominica has welcomed the first major cruise ship to the Roseau Cruise Ship berth since the passage of Hurricane Maria.

About 45 calls are expected in Roseau and Portsmouth before the season ends in April.

A brief welcome ceremony was held on Sunday.

Tourism Minister Senator Robert Tonge told representatives of TURRY CRUISES that Dominica was grateful for their visit.

 

Meantime Chief Executive Officer of the Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority Benoit Bardouille says it is important that Dominica sends out the message that the country is ready for business.
