Dominica welcomes new Ambassador to Germany

President of Dominica His Excellency Charles Savarin has welcomed Germany’s commitment to cooperate with CARICOM in the area of renewable energy and energy efficiency.

On Wednesday the new Ambassador of the Republic of Germany to Dominica His Excellency Holger Wilfreed Michael presented his letter of credence to His Excellency Savarin.

The President says Dominica is looking forward to maintaining and strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation with Germany.

 

Meantime His Excellency Holger Wilfreed Michael says Germany remains committed to assisting Small Island Developing States, and has vowed to pursue the issue of climate change if elected to the United Nations Security Council.
