Dominican communities told to take action to become more resilient ahead of the Hurricane season

Acting Local Government Commissioner Glenroy Toussaint has called on communities in Dominica to take responsible actions to become more resilient ahead of the 2018 Hurricane Season.

Mr Toussaint made the call during a ceremony at the Office of the Disaster Management where a number of individuals in various communities received relief items from the Australian High Commissioner.

Meantime Chairman of the Association of Local Community Authority Yoland Jno Jules says Dominica is grateful for the support of Australia in the form of relief supplies presented to members of the communities.
