Dominican Police Officers Called to Change Approach

The Dominica Police Force could reach the 530 mark before the end of the year.

Minister for National Security, Rayburn Blackmoore says plans are underway to increase the numbers.

Meantime, new vehicles will be made available to the police next week.

Minister Blackmoore says the police may need to change their approach.

He was addressing the welcome ceremony for 39 new police recruits.

Leron Bruno was best recruit with ransom Frederick in second place.

Bruno also took the baton of honor award and was also best at drills.

The best turned out male was Direl Ettiene and the best turned out female was Liz Rolle.

The Commissioners Shield for most disciplined student went to Delkin James.
