Environment Minister, Dr. Kenneth Darroux has called on countries participating at the COP 22 climate change conference to use this gathering to bring the Paris Agreement of the 2015 COP 21 to life.
The Minister’s remarks as he addressed the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change on Thursday in Marrakech, Morocco.
Dr. Darroux says the agreements of COP 21 in Paris last year need to be implemented as soon as possible to help mitigate the impact of climate change.
Dr. Darroux told the convention that the world cannot afford any further rises in temperature and that the matter is more than an environmental issue but a critical economic and social development challenge.
