Encouraging Takeaways for Dominica in WIW Tournanent says Coach Kirnon

Coach of the Women’s National Cricket Team, Sam Kirnon says there are some bright spots to take from Dominica’s showing so far in the Windward Islands Women’s Tournament.

The national team suffered their second straight loss on Monday going down to Grenada.

Dominica made 195 all out batting first,
Gem Eloi got 52, Pearle Ettiene 35 and Abini St. Jean 27.

Grenada got 197-6 in 27.5 overs.

Pearle Ettiene took 2-59,  Jennifer Gasper 2-57, and Abini St. Jean 2-33.

Meantime coach Kirnon says it’s a young team and the ladies have been trying.

The loss means that Dominica must beat St. Lucia in their final match to avoid a last place finish.

Meantime Gem Eloi, who got a half century in the match, says while she was happy with the runs, it would have meant more had Dominica been able to pull off a victory.
