A Grandfond man, Dorian Daley, will stand trial for the murder of his father Maurice Daley in 2O17.
An 8 woman 1 man jury reached a unanimous decision yesterday that the accused Dorian Daley is fit to stand trial.
The defense team led by Darius Jones and Peter Alleyne questioned whether the accused was mentally stable to go through a murder trial.
However the doctors who examined the accused gave evidence in court this week and said he was in a position to stand trial.
Justice Richard Floyd guided the jury on how they should determine whether the accused is fit to stand trial.
The jury then returned with unanimous decision that the accused Dorian Daley can stand trial.
His trial is due to begin on may 15.
