The Douglas Charles Airport is expected to be reopened by lunchtime today Tuesday, following yesterday’s accident.

Chief Executive Officer of the Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority (DASPA) Benoit Bardouille says the facility will remain closed until inspectors from the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority have given the all clear.

The accident occurred after the landing gear of a flight from Santo Domingo failed upon touch down.
