Dominica’s Water and Sewage Company (DOWASCO) is optimistic that its service will be fully restored in the shortest possible time.
A number of communities have been without water following recent heavy rains.
DOWASCO Public Relations Officer Ed Registe says that rains, landslides and heavy silt have impacted the operations at the spring field intake.
He says DOWASCO is looking to restore service to water area one during the course of the day.
Mr. Registe also reminded Dominicans that they are in the Hurricane season and that they should make attempts to store water.
