A Partial Credit Guarantee Loan Facility which was launched back in 2020 to assist small businesses is being revamped so more Dominicans can benefit under this initiative.
The initiative of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) guarantees a loan of up to 750, 000 dollars and is available at numerous banking institutions.
Governor of the ECCB Timothy Antoine says governments of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) have invested funds into the loan facility.
Antoine says discussions are ongoing with the banking institutions for participation in the program.
He says over 400, 000 dollars has already been disbursed under the facility in Dominica.
