The Electoral Commission announces that the voter confirmation process is ongoing and will continue until October 15, 2O26.

The Electoral Commission has announced that the voter confirmation is ongoing and will continue until October  15, 2O26.

The commission stated that last week, they announced a temporary pause in new voter registration.

The commission says they emphasise that the pause in registration applies only to the registration process and does not affect voter confirmation.

The Electoral Commission noted that recent claims suggesting that confirmation has ceased are incorrect, and they take the opportunity to clarify the distinction between the two processes.

The voter registration is on a temporary pause, and the process is for individuals who are not yet on the voter list.

The voter confirmation is ongoing; the process is for individuals who are already on the voter list.

Confirmation allows registered voters to verify, update or correct their personal information.

Confirmation centres are opened on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 93O am -5.3O pm and Saturdays from 9 am to 3 pm
