Extension work on Douglas Charles Airport has commenced

Work has begun on the extension of the runway at the Douglas Charles Airport.

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit told a press conference on Monday these upgrades are critical to ensure an increase in direct flights into Dominica.

Meantime Mr. Skerrit says over 200 Dominicans are currently employed on the International Airport project.
