Farmers encouraged to talk to Ministry of Agriculture in regards to Government assistance

The Project Coordinating Unit of the Disaster Vulnerability Reduction Project the DVRP, is encouraging farmers with concerns with the Government’s assistance to file their grievances with the Ministry of Agriculture and not the DVRP.

This week Government began an 18 million dollar World Bank Funded Program to provide assistance to over 4000 farmers.

And a number of farmers have raised concerns over the Program.

Communications Specialist at the DVRP Nadette Langford says the DVRP only facilitated the funding process, but the implementation process falls with the Ministry of Agriculture.
