Minister for Information, Science, Telecommunication and Technology, Kelvar Darroux says the Smart center in Grand Fond now puts the community in a position to take full advantage of the advances in ICT.
His comments at the official opening of the first state of the art smart center in Dominica Wednesday.
Darroux says the new smart center will allow for the decentralization of a number of key government services and will create a number of opportunities for human resource development.
The Minister says the new center boasts of the latest state of the art equipment.
Meantime, Minister for Education, Peter St Jean says the center will be a boost to the education system in south East.
