Foreign Affairs Minister, Francine Baron has brought a matter against Opposition Leader lennox linton, Talk Show host Angelo Allen and Radio Station QFM to the courts.
The trio is being sued for defamation of character in relation to $10, 000 Baron received in Malaysia while she was Dominica’s High Commissioner in London in 2014.
Last month the Foreign Affairs Minister demanded an apology and $10, 000 to be donated to a charity of her choice.
Senior Counsel Tony Astaphan who is representing the foreign affairs minister in the matter says the apology was not forthcoming and the matter will be brought before the courts.
Meantime, Astaphan who is also representing Chattered Accountant Kieron Pinard Byrne in another defamation matter against lennox linton, says that an announcement on the assessment awarded to Pinard Byrne from the privy council is expected soon.
