Former Parliamentary Representative for the Kalinago Territory, Francois Barrie has passed.
Mr. Barrie died at his home on Sunday, after having spent time at the Dominica/China Friendship Hospital over the last few weeks.
He served in the former UWP Government between 1995 and 2000 as a Parliamentary secretary in the Ministry of Sports.
Parliamentary Representative for the Kalinago Territory Cozier Fredrick extended condolences to the wife and children and his former teacher, the late Francois Barrie.
He said the Kalinago space has lost a former Parliamentary Representative, cricket historian and educator.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
The late Francois Barrie was an ardent cricket fan and was a regular caller to cricket programs on the radio in Dominica.
He was particularly well known for his knowledge on the history of the game.
