A former Prison Officer who was charged with murder last week was granted bail by the High Court in the sum of $200,000 dollars.

Roy Popo was arrested on Mach 29 for the shooting death of 53 year old Skeff Isles in Morne Prosper, but the accused said at the time he feared for his life and used his licensed hand gun to defend himself.

The two were involved in long standing disagreements.

Sureties are Popo’s wife Martilda and his sister Angela Jessica Langford.

Popo has been asked to report to the police headquarters every Wednesday and Friday between 6 am-7 pm..

He is to surrender his travel documents and should not leave the state without the permission of the High Court.

The order of the High Court is that he should continue to reside in Massacre and should not change residents without the permission of the court.

Popo should also refrain from interfering with witnesses and live an honest and industrious life.

The court says any breach of the bail condition will result in revocation of the bail.

The matter returns to court on July 19, 2019.
