Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says government is seriously considering the possibility of relocating a number of residents in the village of Campbell due to the instability of the area.
The Prime Minister’s remarks came at a community meeting in the village on Sunday.
He says there are numerous areas in the village which are unsafe, and retaining walls may not be able to protect the residents.
He says government will also move speedily to address the situation of the road leading to Campbell, which was severely compromised following Tropical Storm Erika.
Meantime, the Prime Minister also made available $250,000 to Campbell for small business development.
He also announced a transportation allowance for the Campbell students attending the Dominica State college.
