Government Remains Committed to West Coast Tropical Storm Erika Victims

Trade Minister, Ian Douglas says Government is determined to bring relief to residents of the West Coast who have been affected by an unreliable supply of water since the passage of Tropical Storm Erika.

Addressing the official handing over ceremony of pipes and fitting from the World Bank for the West Coast Water Storage Tanks Project, Minister Douglas noted that residents have exercised patience in difficult circumstances.

The fittings and pipes from the World Bank came at a cost of $1.7M and is part of an overall US$38M project to reduce the impact of disasters in Dominica.
