Govt. Wants to Solve DASPA Impasse

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says Government is committed to finding a solution to the long standing impasse, between longshoremen and stevedores and the Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority.

The 1O8 employees represented by the waterfront and Allied Workers union were hit by a 33 percent cut in their salaries close to 2O years ago.

Mr. Skerrit says a meeting will be held at the earliest opportunity with a view to bringing an end to the impasse.
