England won by two wickets against Pakistan to reach the semi-finals of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Harry Brooks led the fightback with a sensational 100 after England were in trouble at 17 for 2 and 35 for 3.
Pakistan were earlier led by Sahibzada Farhan with 63 from 45. Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman scored 25 each, and Shadab Khan run out on 23. Pakistan finished on 164/9.
For England, Liam Dawson took 3/23, Jofra Archer and Jamie Overton took 2 wickets each and Adil Rashid 1/31.
England needed 165 for victory, were powered by their captain, Harry Brooks with a 100 off 51. He hit four 6’s and ten 4’s in the process.
Support came from Will Jacks with 28 and Sam Curran 16.
Jofra Archer hit the winning runs through the mid-wicket region to send England into the Semi’s.
For Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi had 4/30, Mohammad Nawaz 2/26 and Usman Tariq 2/31.
England won by 2 wickets and qualified for the Semi Finals.
