Kavem Hodge makes his return and veteran fast bowler Kemar Roach has been recalled as Cricket West Indies (CWI) confirmed a 15-member squad for the three-Test series against New Zealand in December.
With Shamar Joseph and Alzarri Joseph still recovering from injuries sustained earlier this year, selectors have turned to Roach to add experience to a developing fast-bowling unit that also features maiden call-up Ojay Shields.

Both Roach and Shields recently completed an intensive two-week high-performance camp in Antigua aimed at preparing players for the pace-friendly conditions expected in New Zealand.
Hodge, who last represented the West Indies earlier this year, returns to the Test side following his strong performances against fast bowling. Spinner Khary Pierre has been omitted, as selectors anticipate limited impact for spin throughout the series.
Players traveling from the Caribbean have already joined their teammates on tour, giving the squad ample time to acclimatize and participate in a two-day warm-up match against a New Zealand XI in Lincoln, Christchurch.
The three-match campaign forms part of the 2025–2027 ICC World Test Championship and will be the West Indies’ final international assignment for 2025.
