Hotelier Sam Raphael says he has handed over documents, bank statements and other financial records to the Attorney General, which he says proves that the United Workers Party (UWP) attempted to provide diplomatic passports in exchange for campaign financing.
Raphael says the alleged incident happened before the 2005 and 2009 general elections.
Raphael claims he was asked by the UWP to make connections and help set up the deal.
He claims he was also asked to receive the funds on behalf of the UWP as he was not directly associated with the party and was asked to distribute the money to 4 local business accounts controlled by 4 prominent UWP business persons.
DBS news has been unsuccessful with numerous attempts to contact the Former UWP leader and former Prime Minister of Dominica, Edison James for comments on the matter as of news time Tuesday 11.
